HOUSE SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON FISHERIES March 17, 1997 5:04 p.m. COMMITTEE CALENDAR PRESENTATION: BENEFITS OF THE SHORESIDE PROCESSING INDUSTRY TAPE(S) 97-13, SIDE(S) A & B CALL TO ORDER Representative Austerman, Chairman, convened the House Special Committee on Fisheries meeting at 5:04 p.m. PRESENT Committee members present at the call to order were Representatives Austerman, Ivan and Hodgins. SUMMARY OF INFORMATION RICK LAUBER, Vice President and Alaska Manager, Pacific Seafood Processors Association; Chairman, North Pacific Fishery Management Council; Member, Inter-Governmental Advisory Group to the State Department on North Pacific Matters; and Lobbyist, gave a review of the processing industry and the effects of the market on the industry. He answered questions on his testimony. COMMITTEE ACTION The committee took no action.
